Billy is a rent-boy working the streets of London. He is tricked by a watchman and arrested. 1790 was a dangerous time to be convicted of any sort of crime - with the country's gaols over-crowded, the punishment for petty crimes was often transportation to the penal colonies on the other side of the world.
