The three volumes in The Cold War offer a unique event-by-event history of the full sweep of the Cold War, with up-to-date essays on key events between 1945 and 1991, a new introduction that surveys the origins and history of the Cold War, and a new epilogue which reviews post-1991 developments and assesses the legacy of the Cold War in the early twenty-first century. All essays were selected from Salem's popular "Great Events from History" series.
