It is the thesis of this volume that Americans are still fighting, sometimes violently, the same Civil War we thought was over more than a century ago. If you are concerned about the political, medical, racial, environmental, and other crises currently testing Americans and their democracy, the first two thirds of this book are designed to both inform and to entertain you, including a number of poems about the divisive Donald Trump. The final section is composed of more personal poems about family personalities, fantasies, poetry, and a number of delightful animals.
