Beskrivelse
When England's deposed king - Edward V - finds refuge at a remote manor house in Kent there is renewed hope for his bid to regain the crown.
However, he finds his path littered with obstacles - failing health, assassination attempts, and devious enchantresses - which force him to flee to France.
Meanwhile, the usurper king - Richard III - has problems of his own. His chief supporter, the Duke of Buckingham, turns against him; rumours of a French invasion are abound; his arm, courtesy of witchcraft, becomes newly withered; and his son and heir passes away under mysterious circumstances.
If anything can be said for certain, it's that whoever comes out on top will not do so without paying a heavy price.
This is the second novella in the Chronicles of Ascension series.
