Gabriel North is an All-Star rookie third baseman for the Las Vegas Stars. When an arm injury threatens his career, Gabriel feels a nudge to get away. He ends up in Star, Connecticut, where he befriends a jolly man full of wisdom. It's there where Holly Bell, a fifth-grade teacher, is trying to recover from a broken heart. The two, both searching for hope and answers, meet around Christmas. Is Gabriel willing to put his baseball career on hold? Is Holly willing to trust her heart again?
