The Changing Tides

Megan is thrilled when she is offered a post, teaching and protecting Estelle Sterling, an eight year old girl, who is a possible witness to the murder of her father. Estelle is the granddaughter of Mr and Mrs Trevithic a wealthy family living in Porthcothan, Cornwall. The Trevithics have four grown up children, and apart from Alexander, their eldest son, the family welcome Megan with open arms. Life is idyllic, until an acquaintance of Alex's, Victoria O'Dowd, comes to dine with the family. Things take a sinister turn for Estelle and Megan, following Victoria O'Dowd's visit. And it isn't until Estelle runs away that the Trevithics discover that Miss O'Dowd is not all that she pretends to be. Realising that Megan and Alexander are becoming close, Victoria O'Dowd takes action to get rid of her rival. As a woman with murderous intentions, her acts of revenge are cause for concern. Can Alexander safeguard Megan's life? Or is his own life also in danger?
