August, 2054: When a massive solar storm fries every satellite in the sky, a crew of treeplanters doing their National Service must hike a hundred miles of brutally rugged Alaskan backcountry to make their way to safety-and, just maybe, to a crashed B-24 bomber filled with a legendary treasure stolen by the Japanese Imperial Army.
