Beskrivelse
Having moved from the segregated South to the industrial North in the mid 40's Dixon learned very quickly that it's not right or wise to judge a person by the color of one's skin but rather by the content of one's character. Through the kindness and generosity of one White Jewish family vistas were seen and doors were opened that made a lasting impression on this very young boy. When he visited his grandparents in the South some years later Dixon was "subjected" to the ways of the South and took his place in history sitting in the back of the bus with other people of color. In "Remembering The Old Days" Dixon goes back in time to a place that has memories for us all. This is a book for the entire family; a must read.
