The Bridge Between Stars

We are on the brink of chaos. Terrorist attacks run rampant, fear and tension mount, and nuclear war seems inevitable. An ancient tribe of beings, disguised as a primitive people living on an isolated island, is discovered with promises to save the world from its own destruction. We call them the Cth'anko, and they come bearing a Trojan Horse-like gift: the God Lily, a cultivated flower with miraculous healing properties. At an event to welcome the Ctha'nko to modern civilization and obtain the God Lily for all, the Ctha'nko launch a sudden and violent attack, killing the U.S. president and other world leaders on live television, and ushering an invasion that threatens the total annihilation of life on earth. With impossible speed, and an army that seems to materialize seconds before attacking, the Ctha'nko devastate the eastern seaboard. The story is centered on a small family caught in the initial Ctha'nko attack. They escape by boarding a train traveling north to a rumored stronghold that contains the only means of defeating the Ctha'nko. The Bridge Between Stars is a nightmare come to life.
