Slate is back but hasn't woken from his coma. There's no telling if he will wake or what his mental state will be if he does. Scarlett's peace is in constant turmoil with Peak's presence, clouding her judgement. Until Slate wakes, there is no one strong enough to stop him. Her relationship with Brass is shattered, and neither know where they stand.
