THE BOOMER KIDS
The Boomer Kids is a relentlessly entertaining novel and a masterful piece of storytelling.
Warmly engaging, it's an exquisite American portrait of the coming-of-age for the Boomer
Generation; with relatable, endearing, and unforgettable characters the reader will care about.
Part One. The reader will share in the adventures of three preteens in the summer of '59 who
live in the small town of Waterville, Ohio. The boys, Mick, Joey and Ollie are neighborhood kids
who explore the river parks, nearby woods, ponds and abandoned railroad tracks in search of adventure.
Shelly and Rosey Forester are also preteens from the town of Whitehouse a few miles away.
Unlike the boys, the cousins are leaving their childhood innocence behind in small steps. Shelly's
a pixie with an enchanting persona, scrappy and fun-loving, Rosey is smart, athletic and self-assured.
Early on in the story, they encounter Mick and Ollie and begin an enduring relationship with them.
Part Two. It's the start of summer in '62. The kids are now fifteen and on their quest for independence.
Rosey and Ollie, as well as Mick and Shelly are a pair of twosomes. All of them are working now and
cherish their free time. They love hanging out together, whether water skiing, biking on trails,
listening to the latest hit records, going to movies or snacking at the local diner and pizzeria.
Part Three. It's now mid-April in 1965. The kids are anxiously awaiting their college admission status.
and looking forward to graduation. When summer arrives they're working full time. Shelly and Rosey

home for homeowners in town. In August, soon to be parting ways, the boys take a voyage of discovery,
a road trip in Mick's pickup truck to camp and explore in the Rocky Mountains out west.
