Bookmobiles have become popular again, and this anthology--the first monograph on bookmobiles to be published in over 25 years--explains why--as well as the what, where, when, and how of successful mobile library programs. Thirty-six experienced authors share their insight and ideas in this valuable and practical guide. The book is divided into four sections: 'In Defense of Bookmobiles;' 'Mobile Services Administration;' vehicles and equipment; and services to special populations.
