Beskrivelse
This rhyming picture book describes eight occupations of the mid-nineteenth century, among them The Baker, The Watchmaker, and The Tailor. Originally published between 1864 and 1866 by Hurd and Houghton of New York, it's not surprising the first trade in the book is The Printer. Henry Houghton was deemed "the American printer par excellance" by Publishers Weekly in 1881 (and is, of course, the founder of Houghton, Mifflin and Company.)
