The Bold Beginning

Unruly, unmanageable and decidedly unrepentant, young Arrington Pentecost-eleven years of stubborn bravado in a pint sized red haired package-has just been cordially invited to remove himself from the fifth boarding school in succession, through (he insists) no reasonable fault of his own. Though choking over Arrington's loosely interpreted definition of the word "reasonable", his older brother grimly travels to the school to collect him, unaware that Arrington is already embroiled in a dangerous mystery which will expand to encompass high ranking diplomats, the governor of New City, a deadly criminal organization, and the entire Pentecost family. Neck deep in peril and intrigue, Arrington soon finds himself at the center of a whirlwind of danger, dirigibles and daring, as he fights to free his family from the hands of mysterious villains in an adventure driven by loyalty, wits, and steam powered catastrophe. Despite armed assassins, exploding dirigibles, and desperate measures, Arrington will not rest until he has rescued them, though he must outwit a criminal mastermind and defy a powerful consortium to do it. He is not in entirely unfamiliar territory. Adventure knows Arrington Pentecost's name. Adventure always has.
