Behind the legend, it was about making shine and handling the legacy down from one generation to the other. It was a hard life for the people trying to make a living, it took a toll on folks. Alcohol addiction, prison, broken marriages, broken promises, children raised to make and sell shine, hiding their shine from the law, homelessness all played a part of their lives, some even committing suicide to prevent doing time. Moon shining was a lifestyle unlike you ever heard of.
