The Black Birds Flew

After months of badgering, Tim Piget convinces a farmer to sell one of his fields for a new development site. A month into construction, an excavator unearths two long-dead bodies. The ensuing investigation leads police to the farmer's wife who left 30 years earlier to start a new life with her lover. Or did she?
