It is 1952 and, having survived the forbidden Navajo Ritual of Fire, a young film projectionist leaves the almost deserted New Mexico town of his childhood for the Silver Lake Studios in California. Having unknowingly released supernatural tribal elements, Jake, who is reviewing old movie stock, finds himself transported into a different era.
