A Irish soldier has lost his way home from the battlefields of World War I, and find a mysterious fairy maiden bathing and washing clothes in a river. He steals her comb knowing that she must grant any wish he desires. His wish is to return home. As always with the fairies, his wish is granted but with a catch.
