The Artist and the Warrior

In this, the first volume of "The last Heiras" trilogy, we follow the complicated life of Helen as she sacrifices her place in House Condor of the Guild of Warriors to help the artist, Arross, and how they together face adversity and personal tragedy to reach a period of peace.

Helen and Arross are pitted against the Matriarchy of Aquarelle. But there are also conflicts of loyalty for Matriarch Callista and her sister Medea as they are manipulated by the unscrupulous Ariadne, leading to bloodshed and misery for the inhabitants of the Matriarchy.

The richly drawn characters are neither saints nor sinners, their imperfections often undoing the results of their good intentions.

Not all is doom, for all the characters have joy and love in their lives as their stories interweave and overlap in a vivid tapestry of life on the strange planet of Aquarelle
