The Art of Sound comes out of many years of working professionally as both a musician and technical engineer in the music industry. Al's heart is to help musicians navigate the creative musical process and the technical production process to create a quality product that has a level of excellence that will last. He gives tips of the trade, personal insight, and as he says, "I've made all the mistakes so that others can learn from them." No matter if you are a novice at sound and recording or if you have been working with live sound systems or recording for years, you will be able to apply tips on equalization, mic placement for live sound or for recording, how to quickly kill feedback, and the basic science behind it all.
