The Anger Within: The Burdens of a Burned Out Heart

This collection of poems depict different aspects of my life. Struggles with mental health, suicidal ideation/past attempts, battling with opioid and meth abuse. Some are based on physical abuse inflicted both to and by me. These writings are about past relationships and the heartache, mind games, and gaslighting my mental health for their wellbeing. In this collection, I bear my innermost darkest thoughts, feelings, burdens, but most importantly my heart and soul. When I started my road to recovery and turning my life around, I knew I was going to have to put my all into everything I do. If I didn't then what would stop me if I faltered, perhaps even slip up and relapse.
