Beskrivelse
"No man is uneducated who knows the Bible, and no man is wise who is ignorant of its teaching" Embark on a tour, not of a country but of a book, the most fascinating and powerful book ever written. Since the bible is the Book of books, stops are made in each of the sixty-six books of the Bible. Features of each tour include: * Authorship of the book. *Time of writing. *The theme and purpose (To help retention, the themes are given in three or four words, the first of which begins with the same letter as the book's title.) * History and archaeology. * Geography (including easy-to-read maps that may be reproduced for instructional purposes.) * An outline of the book. * An overview of the contents. * Theological highlights. * Where to find Christ in that book (Old Testament only). * Key verses and chapters. * the enduring message of each book. Before embarking on our tour, three orientation lessons are given that set the tone for the journey. These stress that to benefit most from the Bible, we must approach it as uniquely God's Book, trustworthy because it is true (absolutely), and revealing Jesus Christ in all its parts. Like any tour, this one can only give you the highlights of the places we visit. But once completed, you will be in a better position to visit the books of the Bible in more depth. Bon voyage.
