The Afterlife Journey

The Afterlife Journey is a six book series that follows the life and death adventures of Grant Sanders from present day to 3 billion years in the future. The books create an exciting and adventurous experience whilst attempting to explain what life may be like after death from a non-theological viewpoint. After all, if you believe in the possibility of immortality in an afterlife, what would you do forever? Izulu, the second book of the series, continues Grant's Afterlife Journey and spans two thousand years. The story begins with Grant being reborn on an alien planet as one of the planet's life forms. After more than two hundred years in the Afterlife, this is the next stage of his Afterlife transitions. Grant is unrecognisable in his new form and initially has no memory of his former life or his Afterlife experiences. For the first one hundred and fifty years of his new life, he is raised by gigantic native birds. An attack from a rival species of birds forces him to leave his nest early, along with a small group of similar fledglings. Migrating across the planet in search of their biological parents, numerous disasters befall them before they finally reach their destination. In between ordeals, Grant falls in love, but faces an enormous dilemma on encountering civilisation when he comes face to face with his former wife from Earth and has to make a choice. Will he stay with his new love or return to the woman he'd been married to for nearly forty years? While grappling with this dilemma, Earth is facing its own ordeals; an attack from unknown entities. Grant, along with many others, must return to Earth to fight this invasion. The War of the Angels is a fight to the bitter end which Grant and his colleagues must win.
