Imagine that a higher power exists. Imagine that life on Earth is the creation of this power. And finally, imagine that this power is not a god, but a humanoid species.
They first appeared on Ultimum 5 billion years ago, and have since achieved an immeasurable level of technological mastery. Wishing to secure its future and develop its society, it decides to implant life on an exoplanet and let it develop freely. This would be Earth. After millions of years, Sapiens eventually appeared, but took a different path. His evolution and his choices were not in line with the expectations of the Ultimians, who planned his destruction. Deus, the supreme chieftain, is opposed to this and proposes to turn it into a breeding ground. Dead Earthlings will be harvested to populate Posterra, a planet they have recently discovered.
Posterra.
Anxious to make Posterra prosper, Deus sent her son, Jordan Calamy. He will be the Grand Ordonnateur. Everything will be under control, from settlement to organisation. The primary objective will be to avoid any possibility of conflict between Posterrians, right down to the neighbourhood level. So this world will be totally peaceful and weaponless, dedicated to mass production to feed Ultimum. But after 30,000 uneventful years, a rebellion breaks out and upsets the balance.
It is against this backdrop that a young Earthman, Ezio, finds himself thrust into a second life on Posterra. Although he knows nothing of his situation, he soon finds himself in the company of five other young people who, like him, have been 'reborn'. They have all been selected on the basis of their DNA, and Jordan Calamy has entrusted them with the task of quelling the rebellion. While they have no real choice but to accept, some of them throw themselves into the adventure with defiance, while others plunge headlong into it. The path will not be smooth. The further they progress, the more their discoveries will reshuffle the cards and confirm alliances and oppositions. An underground people, the Moribonds, made up of banished ex-Posterrians, will resurface, altering the situation a little more. Will our six 'heroes' go all the way, or will they have any other choice? Who will come out on top? If the mission ends in a victory for the Moribonds, it will be a Pyrrhic one, and not without consequences for the 4 Worlds.
