JOIN US! WHAT THIS BOOK IS AND WHAT IT IS NOT. This is a guidebook, it is not an "everything" book, meaning it cannot address every issue, every form of violence, and every solution. It IS however, more of a compass, to point the reader in the direction of non-violence, peace, clarity, and critical and compassionate thinking. Please make the lessons and messages in this book more powerful by spreading the word, tell your friends, strangers, anyone. Let's start a new movement of peace and compassion and reason "WE DON'T NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING. We don't NEED to know exactly what god thinks of us or what god's instructions are for us. It's OK for us to ignore people who are constantly telling us what they think god wants us to do. Those people are very confused and stupid. It's OK if we don't know. As I said before, just watching nature and using common sense and compassion is enough for us to live a long happy life and make this world a better place. And if god does exist and wants us to know something new, trust me, we would ALL find out from god personally and not through some backward-thinking religious person. " "THE TRIANGLE, OR WHY THERE IS CONFLICT IN THE WORLD. Leonard Vovnik: I have a new truth for you to learn, let us walk into the forest of truth. Student: Why are you telling me all these things, what difference can I make in the world? LV: You can share these truths with everyone you meet, at every opportunity. All the truths you hear from me and the 36 are really awesome, but this one is particularly awesome. It is called "the triangle". S: "the triangle"? What is that? The 36 Leonard Vovniks 12 LV: Behold, the triangle! S: WOW! LV: Simply put, the triangle explains many types of conflict between countries, races, religions, classes, basically any groups of people. LV: This is the triangle: Whenever there are any opposing sides, there is always a 3rd, usually hidden side, benefiting from the conflict with power and control over the 1st two opposing sides. S: Why would someone want 2 groups of people to fight? LV: Because some people enjoy having control over their fellow humans. S: That makes me sad. LV: It makes me sad too. " "Prisoners of the Mind Body and Spirit: You can understand how compassionate a government or a country is by learning who they imprison and why. It is understandable that some people need to be kept separate from the rest of the population if they commit a violent crime, but even those people should be rehabilitated if possible and appropriate, and not left to languish in a cage for years, away from their family. When you put a person in prison, you are, in a very real way, also imprisoning their family, who will suffer too. Families are being ripped apart, and when that happens, the negative effects spread to the entire family, the community, and the country as a whole. This is why prison should only be a last resort, as no country has ever prospered by imprisoning the most people. A country is not compassionate if they imprison people who commit nonviolent crimes and people who take drugs(these people need help, not prison, and we need to remove the unrealistic and ridiculous drug laws that are enacted out of ignorance or for political reasons.) A country or government is very oppressive if they imprison the following people: Gay, lesbian, transgender etc. Political dissenters: people who disagree with, criticize or challenge their government. People engaging in sexual activity arbitrarily prohibited by the government, like pre-marital sex. Journalists: both domestic and foreign. Imprisoning people of a religious or ethnic group. People who are critical of a religion, deity, or religious figure or leader, or who violate a "blasphemy" law."
