Known for her independent and no-nonsense demeanor, Morgan Lucille Baker was the foreman of her family's cutting horse farm in Georgia. Her entire life centered around making the business a success, until she met and married prominent Atlanta business man, Lee Baker. The marriage was anything but happy as Lee's extramarital affairs and controlling behavior alienated Morgan from her family. Fed up with the Atlanta High Society lifestyle and unable to return to her family's farm after having no contact with them for five years, Morgan divorces her husband and accepts a job as a ranch hand for a large horse and cattle operation outside of Abilene, Texas.
