COPING MADE FUN , .......................................................... In the story, Terry the Kid Tree was on a journey to learn how to deal with his big stress and feelings when the forest was hit by a nasty storm. Children often have stresses in their lives, of all types and sizes: bullying, school difficulties, parents' divorce, family problems, loneliness, illnesses, death and problems affecting the world (like the corona virus). Terry the Kid Tree did not know how to manage his stormy feelings, and began acting out. The forest's Wise Owl, Dr. Whoo, was fancy and wise, and really believed his strategies would help Terry Tree, particularly Mindful Meditation. However, Wise Owl quickly realized he needed to be very imaginative and engaging for Terry the Kid Tree, rather a silly one, to learn what he had to teach. So the Wise Owl altered his mindful meditation teaching to be playful and even fun, and joined with Terry Tree to do them. The book is designed for children and those caring adults in their lives (be it a parent, teacher, therapist, foster parent or any support person really) to jointly participate in these enjoyable, creative mindful meditations. Terry the Kid Tree learned how to cope using these fun strategies and had SO many personal and emotional improvements (as listed in caps above), and so can the children who read this book. Terry was so proud of his new calm coping; he announced: "I'm Terry the TRANQUIL TREE, that's ME "
