This short story is one of her first "Friends of Minds" Series designed to instill Behavioral Wellness among children.
The goal is to both help children understand that they do not have to accept shaming of any kind and to encourage parents to realize the impact of emotional distress and the harmful effects of shaming that children silently endure. This book will help parents to become more aware about the long-lasting effects of peer body-shaming and bullying. But it should always be a parent's instinct to want to stop or reverse their child or teen's bad behaviors or emotional torment.
Did you know as children grow and begin to develop thoughts, ideas, and reasoning, they use everything they see, hear, and feel to help them develop these concepts? In this day and age, the media is bigger than it has ever been before and has become a huge factor in how our children are developing opinions on different identities.
