Ten Women Touched By Jesus
By: Jerri R. Miller
Ten Women Touched By Jesus is Jerri R. Miller's rendering of stories that follow some of the more prominent women mentioned in the New Testament Scriptures. Each account can be recognized as some of the more familiar, beloved, and heart-wrenching Bible stories, stories we grew up hearing.
The collection is a beautifully-written imagining of each woman's point of view as life takes her to her journey's end: Jesus. Women of which include the Mother of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, the Samaritan Woman, and seven other common or not so common women living in a time written from New Testament history.
The reader will be taken on ten emotional, touching, and personal journeys. Walking the dusty roads of the ancient cities, coming face to face with Jesus, whether accidently or with determined desire. All ten individuals have a specific journey and heartfelt message that will inspire every reader. Situations where one had been healed from illness, one that gave up all she had, forgiven of sin or even promised eternal life.
About the Author
Jerri R. Miller is a native Oregonian and has lived in the same area all of her life. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for forty-two years and is the mother of one adult daughter. After a childhood filled with the occult, in her teen years she began to search for the truth. It was on that search that Jesus found her and changed her course in life. She has now had a relationship with her Lord Jesus over half of her life.
As a new believer in 1983, Jerri attended TriCity Baptist Temple and worked with the Jr. High Sunday School class and AWANAS. Then in 1992, she was led from there to Calvary Chapel Southeast Portland where she and her family remain today. It is here she opened her home to the Music Fellowship meeting and has served as a Women's Bible Study leader. She has also been a guest speaker for Calvary Chapel Oregon City Christian Women's Retreats. As to this book, she has felt a deep connection with the ten women and their journeys to the Lord; some not unlike her own. Her hope is that the reader can find something in one or all of them to relate to.
