Victor Karev was hired to follow the daughter of an old friend. He remembered Lena from when she was younger, so when her father laid the picture in front of him with his instructions Victor was shocked to find he had such a strong reaction to a photo.
Lena Kramer was tired of being a pawn in her father's business dealings. She was expected to marry an associate so that her father could buy into his company. Lena was not about to marry a man twenty years her senior who had already been married three times. She knew her father had hired Victor, a man she had a crush on since she was fourteen, to follow her around.
