The Gospel is Jesus' story.
In Mark 16:15, when He instructs them to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, the apostles had found a gem; they had discovered a tale for all ages; a narrative that goes back into eternity or let's say that stretches into eternity and goes back into the very beginning: God in a man called Jesus Christ rose from the dead and this becomes a news of victory and triumph for all ages.
These apostles proceeded in the book of Acts to tell the story. This became arguably the greatest movement in human history.
In this work, "Telling the Jesus' story to the world", we narrate how this can be broken down into our everyday life, into different communities and sub-groups and how the Jesus' story can permeate all human sociological structures, all human structures' existence and spheres of life. Many a believer sometimes are caught in between how to share this story which one can also call the Gospel in different scenarios, at different times and to different kinds of people.
In this book, we have broken all these into details, that is, how to engage different audiences, how to approach different incidences and instances how the gospel must be preached.
A lesson is basically in the book of Acts 8; where Phillip approached a large number of people in verse 5 through to verse 8 and the whole city received the Gospel of Christ. Still in the same chapter, Phillip was recorded to have engaged the Ethiopian eunuch from verse 26, on a one-on-one narrative and this goes into different stories in the book of Acts.
We trust that, as many read this book, it will fire them up and inspire them into telling this story around the world. We trust that church groups and ministries will also find it a resourceful tool to train, teach and guide as we take this Gospel around our world in our own world.
So, sit back with your writing materials and as a practical workbook, read through "Telling the Jesus' story to the world".
I remain multidimensionally yours,
Chris Segun Onayinka.
