Tell Me Their Stories: highlights twenty-six empowered women-one for each letter of the alphabet. Starting at "A," meet famed aviator Amelia Earhart. Read along to "O" and meet Oprah Winfrey, a TV host and so much more. Go all the way to "W" and read about tennis star sisters, Venus and Serena Williams. Through each woman's story, young readers begin to see that they themselves are not constrained by gender, race, religion, or life circumstance. There's a special letter, too. The letter "X" is for the reader so that she can see herself as one of these amazing women.
