Jesse Morrigan started seeing things at the tender age of five...

Terrible things.

Things that no-one else could see, including her distraught and anxious parents, who become desperate to get to the bottom of their daughter's disturbing behaviour and frequent night terrors.

Years later, as an adult and temporary resident of the Padthorpe hospital psychiatric ward, she meets with Dr. Caroline September, whose job it is to navigate the dark twists and turns of Jesse's mind in search of answers.

But as Jesse's story unfolds, Caroline becomes slowly convinced that she may not actually be ill at all...
