A recent research study conducted by the American Society for Training and Development and the US Department of Labor identified the most valuable skills employers look for in entry-level employees. Motivation to learn, basic skills, communication, teamwork, critical/creative thinking, career development and leadership top the list. Unfortunately, most curricula do not adequately prepare students in these skills.
