TATTOO a novel about conspiracy theories, the deception of populations, false histories, displaced trust, racism but most of all, the ability of one person to make a difference - if they put their mind to it. Reluctant hero doesn't quite sum up the ineptitude of Russ, taxi driver, melancholic malcontent, but what would any of us do if we were told YOU can make the difference?
