Beskrivelse
Come with me on a teatime journey of England, stopping off at various places to taste recipes from those regions. I've included a brief history of each location along with some fun facts about the recipe and ingredients as well as a photograph of the baked treat. I would love you to use these recipes for sharing and celebrating.
Join me as we travel to Bath and enjoy the Sally Lunn Buns, or Bakewell Tart from Bakewell, which uses the medieval almond paste marchpane, now called marzipan, as part of its filling or try the Cumberland Rum Nicky influenced by trading ships from the Caribbean.
Why not introduce an English teatime treat into your family routine? A surprise Coventry Godcake, a Bosworth Jumble with coffee, or a teatime square of bright pink Tottenham Cake. Or get together with a group of friends to take it in turns to make one recipe a week, and there's the excuse to meet up! Sharing and celebrating with friends and family could not be easier or more fun.
We shall be traveling around England, starting in London and moving clockwise and returning to complete our journey in London.
So let's begin together in London, the capital city of England and the United Kingdom.
