Tangled Threads

On the advice of his seer, Sundir, lord of N'zorivn province, sends his heir to a sorcerer to protect him. But Sundir has no way of comprehending the consequences of his actions. He only knows that his seer prophesies that his son will never survive to rule N'zorivn if Dairik does not go. Fearing assassination of his heir, Sundir dal N'zoriv heeds his seer and sends Dairik to Klayt dal Rr'mahcaz. Dairik arrives at the desert sorcerer's secluded tower, where he begins his apprenticeship in magic. But no one could have envisioned the paths down which Dairik's studies will lead him, nor dangers he will encounter.
