Literature dealing with fish culture is much scattered and the concerned publications are not easily available to one and all. With a view that an honest effort in collecting all the material available on the subject would prove advantageous to those interested, this book is compiled from the writings of wellknown experts on the subject such as Dr. Hora, Dr. Soundararaj, Dr. Baini Prasad, Dr. Day and others. No originality is claimed and a list of books and periodicals consulted in the preparation of this Synopsis has been appended to this book. To assist the students of Inland Fish Culture, material has been arranged according to the syllabus followed by the Madras Government Fisheries Department for training candidates in Fish Culture.
