This collection of twenty papers, presented at the 2nd International Conference of Bhoovigyan Vikas Foundation, addresses a variety of issues concerning sustainable development and earthcare. Focussing on earthcare policy, man-environment relations, sustainable livelihoods and agriculture, and water resource management, the contributors deliberate on the emerging challenges for population and environment, integrated traditional and scientific agriculture, land use, impact of ecological resources on urban areas, influence of soil degradation on soil properties, sustainable agriculture, agro and rural industries, and ecological security.
