Detectives Jennifer Donahue and Shari Thompson from LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division get called out to handle what appears to be an accidental bathtub drowning. The deceased is the wife of a prominent neurosurgeon, but as the investigation moves forward, things don't add up. They soon find themselves enmeshed in a second homicide that grows even more baffling by the minute.
