SURVIVOR: A Client's Journey to Recovery, is written by a Ms. Klenda, Counselor (LPC) who has worked with victims of abuse. In SURVIVOR, a victim struggles to overcome childhood abuse (sexual, physical, verbal, emotional and/or neglect). After years of running away, drugs, alcohol, building emotional walls and destructive relationships, the journey back to a hope-filled life begins. Through counseling, prayer, insight, determination and forgiveness, the victim finds validation and encouragement toward emotional healing and recovery. Abuse victims, pastors, prison ministries and Mental Health Counselors, among others, will find SURVIVOR and the "Activities" section in the back of the book to be valuable resources and tools in the recovery process.
