Beskrivelse
The surgical management of mediastinal tumors (TM) varies depending on their topography, their extension and their nature with different surgical approaches and variable outcomes. TM surgery retains an important place in the curative management of these tumors, whether for children or adults. In this book we present the various results of the large published series dealing with the subject of TM surgery, the approaches that were used, as well as the major operative results and operative outcomes published in the literature. Having not changed too much, classic approaches still retain a considerable place in the treatment of TM, with more and more room for minimally invasive surgery, namely videothoracoscopy, video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) , VATS using a single incision or uniportal VATS (U-VATS) or even robot-assisted thoracic surgery (RATS).
