The Letter to the Hebrews enjoys a lively interest in recent research. The author is increasingly regarded as the third great theologian of the New Testament, alongside Paul and John. Many detailed questions are still unresolved. The studies have been developed in the last 15 years as preliminary work for a commentary on Hebrews. They deal with important questions of the interpretation of Hebrews.
