Beskrivelse
Already, I dream of being back in the desert, lost among the dunes once more. Surrounded by nothing but space, sky, and sand, I am free to be fully myself, to hide no longer.
A FEW YEARS AFTER GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE, on an ordinary summer day, twenty-four-year-old Skye receives two phone calls that turn her life upside down. She finds herself unexpectedly homeless, thrust into a life of uncertainty and adventure. As all her plans for the future unravel, Skye loses the last bit of control she had over her life--she falls in love.
Surrendering to the tides of destiny, Skye's love draws her away from her home in the mountains of Colorado and across the Atlantic Ocean to the desert of Morocco and the city streets of Paris. Like a ship lost at sea, Skye is again swept across oceans, where she washes up on the shores of Northern California before finally winding up, stranded and alone, on a remote beach in Nicaragua.
Of all the wild and beautiful places she explores, the desert is where Skye feels most at home. Her journey is an ode to the desert and to wide-open spaces-an exploration of the spaces within us and without us.
