Almost 13 and a straight A student, Vinnie Scott expects to spend his summer vacation at East Wind School for Boys doing what he's always done-read, swim, and avoid conflicts with the other "inmates." When a woman's body is pulled from an abandoned well near the picnic area, complete with cops, yellow tape, and a nosy reporter, the excitement racing through the school provides the perfect cover for his escape. Or maybe that should be "escapade."
