In German criminal law, the violation of mental health is not a dogmatically independent criminal success; mental health is thought to be not sufficiently concrete and verifiable. However, the analysis of the practice of German criminal justice proves that it is possible to treat psychological injuries in a dogmatically acceptable way. This does not concern "bad feelings" but grave injuries mainly caused by putting the victime of a crime in mortal agony and fear.
