What if an artist had no limitations? Often we'll read stories and the illustrations are made to fit specifications. There is little leeway. The artist's work is suppressed. But we've tried something different. When I looked at my daughter's art, stories started coming to me in the form of poems. Just as she was free with every line she drew, I was free with every word I wrote. I simply let her sing, and I harmonized. Not only do we share a bond as mother and daughter, we share an appreciation for art. And we believe in order for art to be pure, it needs to be without restrictions.
