Storms of Change, The Legend of Dido

It is ancient Phoenicia, 833 BC, an era where the earth is still to be explored and adventure presents itself beyond every horizon. A courageous young woman, Elissa, is born into the house of Ithobaal I, into a bloodline of Kings who have ruled the city of Tyre for generations. It is her father's dying wish that both his children, Elissa and Pygmalion co-rule the city of Tyre, but his wish has dire consequences as Pygmalion will stop at nothing to obtain the throne and be the sole heir. She is given in marriage at the age of fourteen to the High Priest of Baal who becomes the love of her life but even his love cannot protect her and a result of a series of events, she is finally forced to flee from her tyrannic brother taking with her group of influential people on an epic journey. They roam the oceans for eleven years, stumbling upon dangerous civilizations, mysterious islands and people who have strange traditions. They encounter sea nymphs, giants, pirates and even monsters. It is not only a story of their adventures, but also about the storms that change Elissa's character and the people in her life, their hopes, dreams, and heartache in their pursuit to finding a new home.
