Stories from the Near-Future

Twenty-one stories exploring our world in the Near-Future Smart phones, smart cars, smart toasters, where can this lead? Will our new, interconnected life deliver on its Bellamyian proph- esies, or will we find ourselves in an Uber-tech, Orwellian world?Such is the nature of the stories in this anthology. We asked our authors for stories envisioning life in the Near Future - a future recognizably related to the world in which we live today, but a smattering of years from now, and extrapolated from our present.
