Beskrivelse
Dysthymia is a chronic depressive illness that can be treated but now often cured. The author himself is a victim of Dysthymia and in this text he describes, in his own words and in a vivid and authentic way, how the illness keeps creeping into his life. For healthy people, holidays and being in love are some of the most beautiful moments of life, but for him become great challenges are not easy to master. Where others enjoy life, he must struggle for happiness, health and normality, sometimes combined with failure. The author wants to encourage other affected people to talk about some of those things that frequently stand in their way. He also wants to make non-affected people understand that depression is an illness and that sufferers should be treated with understanding and not with well-intentioned advice that usually leads nowhere.
